Last week the PSNI appealed to the public for their help in finding 40-year-old Keith Carlisle, who was seen entering the Six Mile Water river in Antrim on Sunday night.
A multi-agency search operation was set up and continued last week in an attempt to locate Mr Carlisle.

“Immediately, a multi-agency search and rescue operation was launched, involving our officers and a number of partner agencies.
“Despite these searches, we have so far been unable to locate Keith.
“While searches are ongoing, we are keen to establish Keith’s movements on Sunday night. We know he had been socialising in the town that evening and my appeal is to anyone who came into contact with Keith on Sunday night, or believes they may have seen, to contact us.”

However on Sunday the Lough Neagh Rescue service posted: “LNR and other statutory agencies under the direction of PSNI/POLSA have been heavily involved for the last 7 days in an ongoing search for a missing person who is believed to have entered the Six Mile Water in Antrim.
“After conducting extensive search operations this afternoon our crews located a body and had the difficult task of recovering it from the water.
“LNR wishes to place on record our sincere thanks to all our agency colleagues involved for all the hard work, dedication and commitment throughout the search operation.
